From the designer: "I like uncomplicated ideas and I really appreciate accomplishing a lot with simple methods and materials. Obvious things that are so ordinary, they become extraordinary. Our idea was to update the classic Scandinavian wood table. The result has obvious references to traditional Scandinavian furniture making but the choice of materials and detailing give it a new expression. Furthermore, we wanted to make the table adaptable to personal needs – with a choice of  4 different table tops, 4 frames and  4 types of legs there are 64 ways to create a personal and unique table."

Mattias Ståhlbom is a partner in the internationally successful Swedish design and architecture studio TAF.   His product designs have been exhibited in prestigious locations such   as MoMA New York and the Swedish National Museum in Stockholm. "We are striving to expand the Scandinavian design tradition with new and original perspectives. In fact, our name Muuto, inspired by the Finnish word muutos, means new perspective."
